City seeks to recruit an AV Technician to join its dynamic AV Team that form part of its Information Technology Department.
The post holders will provide technical supprt, diagnosis and problem solving on audio visual equipment throughout the University. Additionally they will be supporting all audio visual related services and facilities for all University matters, Events and Conference support, Equipment loan/administration, procurement and media/production services. As part of media support the post holders will film, photograph and edit for University events and for education/research activities.
These roles provide support on a rota basis. Working hours are determined by University requirements (e.g. 8am to 8pm) and will include weekend work.
The successful candidates will have a good understanding of IT/AV with experience in a similar role. They will present a good level of analytical and problem solving skills and have excellent organisation, planning and prioritising skills. The roleholders will be customer focussed with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with stakeholders both within and outside the institution. The role holders will have good attention to detail, accuracy in recording and updating system information and possess a flexible, proactive approach to their work.
