The School of Mathematics, Computer Science & Engineering is a multidisciplinary centre of study and research, located in the heart of London’s vibrant design community. It was an excellent performer in the REF 2014 and has strong industrial links.

It is proud of its record of making valuable research advances and of educating thousands of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) undergraduate and postgraduate students.The Department of Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics is ranked fourth in London by the Guardian and offers several BEng, MEng and MSc courses.  Its research is organised in two multi-disciplinary Research Centres: the Aerodynamics and Flow Control Research Centre; and the Thermofluids Research Centre.


Person Specification

The School invites applications from outstanding academics for a Lectureship in Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics.

The appointed Lecturer will undertake world-leading or internationally excellent research within Structures and Composite Materials and will contribute to the education of undergraduate and postgraduate students in Structural Dynamics and related subjects.

An excellent track record of research in structural dynamics, FEA, or composite materials and design analysis; and expertise in programming languages, CAD, SolidWorks, PATRAN/NASTRAN and ANSYS are required.
