Research & Enterprise Office
City has invested in its research support & enterprise professional service to provide exceptional support to our academic colleagues and to build stronger business relationships with stakeholders and partners regionally, nationally and internationally. Research & Enterprise Office staff work collegially across City, interfacing with our academic schools and other professional services to deliver both strategic projects and day to day operational services. As we embark on a new programme of activity, so City can realise its ambitions we are looking for a talented Administrative Assistant to join the Office.
The post holder will provide high quality clerical & administrative assistance to three of the teams of the Research & Enterprise Office of City, University of London. In practice, this involves managing databases, invoicing, assisting with logistics of events, organising & taking minutes of meetings, providing advice and support in claiming expenses, arranging travel, providing support to external visitors, communicating with other professional services including HR & IT Service, drafting replies to correspondence (emails mainly) and filing.
The post-holder will work very closely with the Office Administrator to ensure consistency in operations across the office environment.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a comparable administrative role, possessing excellent organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all colleagues and academic members of staff. The post-holder will have excellent numeracy skills, show attention to detail and be confident in preparing simple financial reconciliations and reports. They will also be required take a proactive role in the development of administrative systems and processes.

The post is a full time post (35 hours per week)
Contract: Permanent with a 1 year probation period
