The Student Systems Team at City, University of London seek to recruit a full time Technical Analyst for a 12 month Maternity cover role. Student Systems is part of the Information Technology directorate, based at our Northampton Square site.
The team provides support and development for SITS/ e:Vision as well as other student focused systems.
The successful candidate will be joining City at an exciting time of change; working as part of a great team to develop and support systems with the student at their heart. This is an opportunity to make a positive contribution to the university and the student experience; learning new tools and software packages whilst gaining valuable experience of this rewarding sector.
The Technical Analyst will use their experience to support and develop our student records system, its web front end and associated interfaces. They will undertake support, development, and testing and write documentation where appropriate. There will also be involvement in projects and implementing software updates and upgrades as well as process enhancements.
In addition, they will be participating in systems development that meet the strategic and operational needs of the University.
They will also be able to work both independently and as a functional member of a team with excellent time management and organisation.
Knowledge of university processes and culture, SITS/ e-vision, XML and writing SQL would be advantageous.
