The Division of Nursing in the School of Health Sciences is one of London’s most established providers of health care education and delivers high quality undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.

The Division has a strong programme of world-leading research in the areas of child health and partnership working with children and their families; mental health care across the life span; people with physical health and long-term conditions; acute and critical care; and care of the older person. The Division works in partnership with service users and carers, alongside health and social care experts and providers to develop and deliver education and research which shapes future nurse leaders.

Responsibilities

The Division is seeking to appoint an outstanding academic to join the established expert Child Health team.

The successful candidate will contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate education in child health and lead and enhance the education for student nurses on long-term conditions and care closer to home in the field of child health.

Person Specification

Applicants must hold current registration with the NMC as either a children’s nurse or a specialist community public health nurse (health visitor or school nurse) and must have the ability to educate and supervise at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. A doctorate and a record of producing world-leading or internationally excellent research are desirable.
