The School of Mathematics, Computer Science and Engineering is a diverse, inclusive and multidisciplinary centre of study and research, located in the heart of London’s vibrant design community. It is immensely proud of its record of educating thousands of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) undergraduates and postgraduates, whilst making valuable research advances.

The Department of Computer Science has been at the leading edge of computer science in the UK for six decades; laying the groundwork for the foundation of the British Computer Society and awarding some of the country’s first Computer Science degrees. Today, it is a vibrant, modern department comprising approximately 50 academic staff and 60 research staff and PhD students

Responsibilities

We invite applications for a Lectureship in Cloud Computing to contribute to the Department of Computer Science's developing programme of research and education in this area.

The postholder will undertake internationally excellent research within their own specialist field, and contribute to the research standing and culture of the Research Centre on Adaptive Computing Systems (CeNACS) within the School of Mathematics.

Person Specification

Excellence and commitment to the delivery of high quality student education is essential.
Research activity in one or more of the following areas is desirable: cloud infrastructures and services, performance of cloud systems and cloud security.
