Security Officers are responsible for performing duties relating to security and public safety within the City. They are to assist in ensuring the provision of a high standard of information and reception services, public safety and security, for people, grounds, buildings and their contents.
 The posts are uniformed and all members of staff are expected to perform their duties in a smart, courteous and efficient manner.

Person Specification

Security Officers must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all customers, both face-to-face and on the telephone, deal confidently, positively and tactfully with all staff, students and visitors as well as have a good level of IT skills relating to security systems. Previous experience of working in a busy ‘customer service’ environment and security experience is desirable.
